About
Goss Academy is a private home study program located in Meriwether County, Georgia, established in 2019 in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690(c). The program serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through the sixth grade, providing an individualized, family-led education grounded in classical learning, literature, and the natural sciences.
Curriculum
Instruction at Goss Academy covers the five core subjects required under Georgia law — reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science — supplemented by weekly enrichment in art, music, physical education, and practical life skills. The curriculum draws from established programs, including The Good and the Beautiful, alongside online learning platforms selected to suit each student's grade level and pace.
Records & Compliance
The program follows a 180-day academic year as required by O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690(c). Annual progress is documented through written assessments retained on file. Nationally normed standardized testing is administered every three years beginning at the end of grade three, in keeping with state requirements.
